Frequently asked questions

What is a PSČ?

PSČ (poštovní směrovací číslo) is the Czech postal code - a five-digit number written with a space, for example 110 00 for central Prague. Codes are assigned by Česká pošta.

How do I find my postal code?

Type your street and house number into the search box and the exact code appears instantly. You can also browse by municipality and street.

How is a Czech postcode written?

Officially with a space after the first three digits, e.g. 763 11. Most forms also accept the six-character form without a space.

How current is the data?

The site is regularly updated from RÚIAN, the state address register maintained by ČÚZK. The date of the last update is shown in the footer.

Can one street have several postcodes?

Yes. In large cities the code can change with house numbers, and Prague alone has dozens of codes - always check the exact address.
